We're nearly 1/2 of the way there to our goal of $1.5 million. Thank you to our major donors to date, led by the City of Newburyport Community Preservation Fund, the Institution for Savings Charitable Foundation and the Mary Alice Arakelian Foundation. This historic structure is at risk. A recent site assessment of the facility estimated the cost of renovation and upgrades to be approximately $1.5 million. This includes extensive renovations to the visitor stands, including meeting handicapped accessibility requirements, and installing a new turf playing surface which will greatly expand the life and use of the facility.
